Tips for staging bathrooms

Bathrooms of all shapes, colors and sizes can have that "spa" feel. With a few inexpensive items, a good scrub and clearing off vanity tops, your bath can look like a relaxing oasis to  potential buyers.

                                                                    TOWELS

Grab a couple of neutral color (white, cream, or light gray) washcloths, bath and hand towels.  Roll up the washcloths, place on a decorative dish and display on the vanity.  For tubs and showers, roll up bath towels, place in a wicker basket and place near the shower.  Replace hand towels with fluffy, soft neutral towels.

                                                                       DECOR

Got wicker baskets around the house? Any faux or fresh greenery?  Clear jars?  Wicker baskets are the perfect accent to convey warmth and add texture.  A simple floral arrangement in  a jar with  water, clear marbles or rocks bring a fresh, outdoor element.

Inexpensive tricks for visual and scent impact: use a clear canister or jar, add cotton balls and dab in clear liquid fragrance. In addition, Epsom salt now comes in a variety of scents.  These two cost effective hacks will provide a clean, inviting spa-like look while a clean fragrance fills the space.   Tie a piece of neutral ribbon or even twine to dress it up.

With a few cost effective ideas and a little elbow grease, your bathrooms can have that "spa" feel.  Keep the decor minimal, replace floor mats, shower curtains and towels with neutral tones.  Add wicker baskets for texture and a touch of greenery for a natural feel.
