Preparing a home for the market-is a consultation worth it?

Whether you are a seasoned Realtor or homeowner, a consultation with a professional stager is a must have before listing.
Here's why:
In today's fast paced world with access to social media and endless information on the internet, a home must be visually appealing online and in person.
Perspective home buyers begin their search online.  It's easy just to "swipe" and keep looking if the first glance has no appeal.
Beyond the first views online, the next step is a tour the house in "real life." The property should reflect what got the buyers there in the first place.
Living Room Before
Here's an example of a property Gorgeous Digs consulted on for Realtor Brandy Williams with Keller Williams, Lake Conroe.
The starter home priced in the upper 100's, in a good neighborhood, had been on the market for a bit with no offers.
Brandy, a diligent realtor, reached out to others for feedback and contacted us to get our opinion.
We met with Brandy and her client, "walked and talked" for 30 minutes, and prepared a task list for the homeowner.
Here's what Brandy had to say about the process:
"The consultation was very straight forward and easy to follow.  I read through the emailed suggestions and you were very detailed as to where to move things, what to buy, where to buy it, and where to put the items in the home.
Living Room after
The first time I went into the home after my client made the changes you suggested I was shocked at what a difference your suggestions made.  I was very impressed."

"The house is now under contract!"
Yes, a consultation with a stager before a house hits MLS is imperative.  A buyer's first impression starts with a view online and then touring the house in person. As the old saying goes, "You never have a second chance to make the first impression."
